KOTUI OPERATIONS MANAGER

  • Contract Term: 2 Years (with possibility of extension)

The Role

The Kōtui Operations Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the two Kōtui Oxfam Project Agreement (OPA) contracts held by Oxfam in the Pacific (OiP). These two OPAs cover three projects (Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Tuvalu) and also the project management unit budget which is held in Suva, Fiji. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the oversight and wellbeing of all OiP staff funded by the Kōtui programme, including managing four team members directly. The individual will be accountable for the successful and efficient implementation of the OiP projects by empowering and supporting project teams to implement their workplan. The Operations Manager will be responsible for providing quarterly progress reports to Oxfam Aotearoa (OAo), including producing accurate project budgets, finance forecasting and quarterly acquittals. They will be responsible for ensuring that all activities are undertaken in line with Oxfam policies and processes, and working with OiP Senior Management Team to streamline and improve these processes over time.

You Will Have

  • University degree, preferably in Project Management, Business Administration or Accounting (or relevant work experience)
  • At least eight years’ experience working in the Pacific region
  • Demonstrated expertise in project budget management, financial planning and hands on experience in completing project acquittals to donors
  • Expertise in developing and producing high level reports (narrative and financial).
  • Experience in managing remote teams
